The PPGEL curriculum is organized by credits. Each course has a workload expressed in credits, and each credit corresponds to 15 (fifteen) contact hours.
According to the Resolution of the PPG Stricto Sensu Collegiate No. 026/2019, master’s students must complete 58 credits, corresponding to 870 hours, distributed as follows:
a) 3 credits in Research Methodology;
b) 2 credits in Advanced Studies;
c) 5 credits in Special Activities;
d) 12 credits in elective courses in the student’s concentration area;
e) 6 credits in other program courses, except for the Undergraduate Teaching Internship course;
f) 30 credits in Master’s Dissertation.
Doctoral students must complete at least 159 credits, corresponding to 2,385 hours, distributed as follows:
a) 2 credits in Advanced Studies;
b) 7 credits in Special Activities;
c) 21 credits in elective courses in the student’s concentration area;
d) 9 credits in other program courses, except for the Undergraduate Teaching Internship courses;
e) 120 credits in Doctoral Thesis.
