Rules

  • A Special Student is considered the one enrolled in isolated disciplines of the Program.
  • The disciplines available to the Special Student are defined by the Course Coordination and authorized by the responsible faculty member before the registration period and are announced in advance by PROPPG.
  • The Special Student can study graduate courses without taking the selection exam. However, admission as a Special Student does not entitle him to a place in the course as a regular student, only after approval in the selection exam.
  • The special student may take up to 50% (fifty percent) of the credits in subjects required by the Program (each credit is equivalent to 15 class hours): Master’s up to 10 credits, and Doctoral up to 15 credits.

  • Enrollment as a special student in UEL’s Special Graduate Programs is via internet, directly on the PROPPG-UEL website, for candidates who have a completed undergraduate course and are recognized by the competent body, to comply with Resolution 01/2001 of CES/CNE.
  • The candidate must fill out the registration form, available only during the registration period (semester), generate a ticket, and pay the public stipulated registration fee. (Read the announcement, available during the registration period, Portal/UEL).
  • In the registration form, the candidate must indicate the discipline(s) of interest; in case of choosing more than one discipline, refer the option in order of priority.
  • During the registration period, the applicant must deliver the documents below to the Program Secretariat. Applications will not be received by mail or after the deadline. After the registration is effective, it will not be allowed to change courses or alter the priority of choice.
  • The submission of the documents is essential for the confirmation of the registration; failure to present them will result in the rejection of the registration.

Registration documents:

  • Completed registration form.
  • Proof of payment of the public registration fee corresponding to the amount established by UEL.
  • Curriculum vitae – documented and bound in spiral-bound.

Documents for enrollment to be delivered to the Program

  • Simple copy: RG, CPF, Reservist Certificate, Birth or Marriage Certificate.
  • Certified photocopy of the undergraduate diploma.
    Considering Opinion nº 303/2000 of the MEC’s Higher Education Chamber, the approved candidate may submit, at the time of enrollment.
  • Photocopy of the certificate or certificate of completion of the undergraduate course, as well as the document proving that it is regulated by the competent body, which must be duly dated and signed. In this case, enrollment will be on a precarious and provisional basis, until the presentation of the respective diploma.
  • Until the end of the graduate course, the student must present a certified photocopy of the diploma.
  • Foreign candidates must present a copy of their passport, a certified copy of the graduation diploma (original), a certified copy of the sworn translation of the diploma, a certified copy of the birth or marriage certificate, a certified copy of the sworn translation of the birth or marriage certificate, copy of the CPF and the country’s permanent visa, updated.
  • The candidate who was not granted a place can pick up the resume at the Program’s Secretariat, after the announcement of the recruitment results, up to 30 calendar days. After this deadline, it will be discarded.
  • The cases not covered will be analyzed by the Dean’s Office for Research and Graduate Studies, the Selection Committee, and the Program Coordinating Committee.
