The PPGSOC/UEL offers master’s and PhD degrees. Admission to the program as a regular student takes place annually and the Selection Process is regulated by specific public notices. Candidates with a higher education degree (Master’s program) or master’s degree (PhD program) in any area are welcomed to enrol in the selection process. Process is usually organised in 5 steps: (1) written examination (master’s program only); (2) English Language Proficiency exam; (3) evaluation of thesis or dissertation proposal; (4) a face-to-face interview about the proposal; and (4) evaluation of the Lattes CV.
The program follows UEL’s Affirmative Action Policy and 30% of its regular student vacancies are assigned to people self-identified as black (black and brown). It also offers 5% additional vacancies for people self-identified as indigenous and 5% additional vacancies for people self-identified as having a disability.
