The main objectives of the postdoctoral program are to promote high-level research, strengthen the Institution’s research groups, and contribute to the renewal of faculty within Graduate Programs by training highly qualified professionals. At the same time, the goal is to consolidate, update, deepen, and expand the scientific and technological knowledge of the postdoctoral fellow.
There are two ways to apply for a postdoctoral position at PPGEL:
- One option is to apply for a PNPD/CAPES scholarship.
In this case, candidates must follow the Scholarship Selection Calls, usually published in mid-year, for a 12-month grant, with the postdoctoral stage starting at the beginning of the following year. - The other option is to apply without requesting a scholarship.
In this case, applications are accepted on a rolling basis, and the regulations in CEPE Resolution 53/2019 must be followed.
It is important to highlight that, in both cases, only faculty members of the PPGEL program who have already supervised at least one doctoral thesis defense are eligible to supervise postdoctoral fellows.
