I Meeting of Students and Alumni of the Postgraduate Program in Science Education and Mathematics Education – “Bridging Distances, Establishing Relationships”

Organization: Initiative of the PECEM students with the support of the Program’s faculty.

Objective: To bring closer postgraduate students, provide a (re)meeting with alumni of the course, with students, faculty, and researchers from other national and international institutions, and discuss topics and challenges of research in the field of Science Education and Mathematics Education, particularly in the context of the pandemic.

Event Dates: October 21, 22, and 23, 2020 (remote event).

Results: Through the collaboration of faculty, students, and alumni, the I EPECEM was organized. The event spanned three days of intense interaction and discussions on important topics involving research and professional activity in the field of teaching. Topics highlighting the origins of the program and the development of the field of Education were discussed. The event featured a lecture by Prof. Neus Sanmartí (Autonomous University of Barcelona/Spain), who explored the topic of assessment from a learning perspective. There were moments of experience exchange and meaningful dialogues with alumni representatives who hold various professional positions, whether in Basic Education or university settings.
