As part of the Institutional Cooperation Projects (PCI), aimed at training the faculty of the University of Licungo (Mozambique) to improve teaching, research, extension, and innovation, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in December 2020 with the State University of Londrina (UEL). This memorandum resulted in a joint program to train faculty members from the University of Licungo at the Master’s and Doctorate levels in the Graduate Program in Science Teaching and Mathematical Education (PECEM).
The cooperation program foresees the following activities: i) teaching courses to professors approved in the Master’s or Doctorate selection process; ii) conducting research missions — coordinated by PECEM faculty members — at UniLicungo for the development of research activities; and iii) supporting the strengthening of research groups, diversifying discussions according to the contexts of both countries. In Table 1, we present the faculty members from UniLicungo participating in PCI/PECEM/UEL.

INSTITUTIONAL RECEPTION
On October 9, 2024, the institutional reception took place at the UEL Rector’s Office for the PhD students from Mozambique who participate in the cooperation agreement between the State University of Londrina and UniLicungo/Mozambique, through the Graduate Program in Science Teaching and Mathematical Education (PECEM). Present at the event were the PhD students, PECEM faculty members, the team from ARI — International Relations Advisory, and the vice-rector of the State University of Londrina.
In total, seven professors from UniLicungo are at UEL for a sandwich-stage program lasting six months.
