The PPM faculty is multidisciplinary and composed of highly qualified supervisors in different areas of Microbiology who work on developing scientific, innovation, and entrepreneurship projects. The PPM’s faculty is constituted by 18 members (15 full members e 3 associate members) of the State University of Londrina [Departments of Microbiology (12), Pathology Sciences (2)], of the State University of Maringá [Department of Basic Health Sciences (1)], from the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation-Soy (2), and Adolf Lutz institute/Presidente Prudente (1).
The program’s research activity has a focus on one subject area – Microbiology -, which is divided into three research themes: (1) Biology and Physiology of Microorganisms, (2) Genetics and Molecular Biology of Microorganisms, and (3) Microorganism-Host Interaction, promoting several innovative projects in different sub-areas (Bacteriology, Mycology, Virology and Protozoology), with a research focus on Basic and Applied Microbiology.
