Ordenamento Territorial do Brasil: potencialidades naturais e vulnerabilidades sociais

The research that led to this book aimed to produce knowledge and information that could contribute to enhancing environmental quality, sustainable development, and the improvement of living conditions for the population, with Brazil as the geographical focus. It was based on the premise that territorial planning must be structured on ecological-environmental, social, and economic pillars. It is worth noting that the research was conducted over three years, grounded in strictly technical-scientific criteria, with the intention of serving as a tool for public authorities and private agents to optimize the use of geographic space through more orderly occupation and promote the rational use of natural resources. It is understood that, in this way, it is possible to expand the necessary information to plan and reorganize the occupation of the national territory, as well as to ensure the effectiveness of political decisions and public and private intervention in territorial management. This work provides an overview of Brazil’s geographical reality, highlighting the importance of implementing public policies for territorial planning with an environmental, social, and economic focus, at different analytical scales: the federal level, which is broader; the state level, more specific; and the municipal level, more incisive.

Book “Wayrakuna: Polinizando a vida e semeando o Bem Viver”

Edited by Jamille da Silva Lima-Payayá, Aline Ngrenhtabare Kaxiriana Lopes Kayapó, and Arlete Maria Pinheiro Schubert-Tupinambá, founders of the Plurinational Movement Wayrakuna, this book values ancestry and art as forms of resistance and decolonization. It highlights the political leadership of Indigenous women and their actions in promoting the Buen Vivir (Good Living).
This book is both a manifesto and a testimony—a testimony of ancestral memory, imprinted and alive in our bodies as Indigenous women. Memory of the spirituality of our matrilineages, but also of the vilification and countless other violences we have historically endured under the project of colonization, modernization, and European, Western male domination.

Colection Entre-lugares: docência e experiência
A partnership between professors Jeani Delgado Paschoal Moura and Eduardo José Marandola Júnior (Unicamp), linked to the GHUM network. In 2024, during the I COGHE, Volumes I and II were launched:
Volume II: The Craft of/in Teaching: Toward an Education Sensitive to Experience by Prof. Jeani Delgado Paschoal Moura.
Volume I: Teaching-Learning Phenomenology: Paths of Thought and Practice Through Experience by Eduardo Marandola Jr.

Can phenomenology be taught? This is the key question driving this book, derived from courses on phenomenological research and teaching. It is a search for the meaning of experience, of practice as thought. The geographical, as existence, goes beyond scientific discipline while simultaneously grounding its realization. Corporeality, hermeneutics, situatedness, and politics become possibilities for doing science through experience.

In this book, I present an understanding of a phenomenology of teaching experience, situating teaching in its being-becoming, in the most varied educational situations—which affect and are affected by the situatedness of the teacher-being, in a dialectical movement of beginning, rebeginning, and new beginning. It is a search for the thread that connects our experiences and gives them meaning. And it is in the quality of attention we give to situations, to situatedness, and to ourselves that we find the true essence of our craft.

Book “Circuitos Espaciais de Produção da Tilapicultura Paranaense”

Maico Eduardo Dias, a doctoral student in the Graduate Program in Geography at the State University of Londrina (UEL), invites everyone to read the work “Spatial Circuits of Paraná’s Tilapia Production: Regional Contexts”, officially launched at the XIV ENANPEGE on October 12, 2021.
“This work analyzes tilapia farming in the state of Paraná, highlighting the particularities of production stages in its northern and western regional contexts, through the lens of spatial production circuits (production-distribution-exchange-consumption) and cooperation circles. The book fills an important gap in Economic Geography research—studies that, from a holistic theoretical perspective, concretely unveil the intricate division of labor between city and countryside.“
