Fisiologia e Fisiopatologia cardiovascular

Research description: The Cardiovascular Physiology Laboratory is interested in studying central and peripheral cardiocirculatory control mechanisms in animals under physiological conditions such as physical exercise and postural changes, as well as in animal models of diseases such as obesity, sepsis, Chagas disease, and parkinsonism. For this approach, we use techniques such as stereotaxy; invasive and non-invasive cardiovascular recording; analysis of cardiovascular variability; and biochemical assays in plasma and tissues.
