The student representation consists of a slate comprising one PhD researcher and one Master’s researcher. They are elected by their peers for a one-year term, with the possibility of one reelection. Their responsibilities include the integration and orientation of new researchers, monitoring and coordination of Working Groups (GTs), as well as the development and implementation of strategic actions in collaboration with the Coordinating Committee and the Body of Researchers. They hold seats on the councils of the Department of Geography (DGEO/UEL), the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEO/UEL), and the National Association of Graduate Studies and Research in Geography (ANPEGE).
