The PPGEO’s Strategic Development Plan (PDE) defines the guidelines for consolidating the program’s academic excellence and social relevance, aligning with:
- The Institutional Development Plan (PDI) of UEL;
- The goals of CAPES (Area 36);
- The strategic axes of internationalization and research of PROPPG.
The PDE prioritizes:
- Qualified training in Geography, with an emphasis on the research lines (Socio-spatial and Geoenvironmental Dynamics);
- National and international engagement, expanding partnerships and academic mobility;
- Regional impact, linking research to the territorial demands of Northern Paraná.
This document was collectively developed by the PPGEO community, with periodic reviews to monitor its goals.
The PDE/PPGEO 2021/2024 is the main document guiding our administration and establishes the goals and actions to fulfill the program’s mission and purpose. It presents a version that seeks to synthesize the main ideas objectively, focusing on the vocation, objectives, research lines, and areas of action of the program. Aligned with UEL’s PDI, the coordinating committee conducted a broad debate with faculty and students to foster a new mindset focused on the relevance of the PDE as an essential management tool for PPGEO, enabling more efficient program management and achieving the desired future vision (in the short, medium, and long term). To implement the PDE, the program was organized into five Strategic Paths:
