When to submit?

All master’s/doctorate projects involving:

– Interviews, questionnaires or observation with human beings

– Analysis of sensitive personal data

– Research with traditional communities or vulnerable groups

Step by step for approval:

1️⃣ Prepare:

Complete project

Free and Informed Consent Form (TCLE)

Collection instruments (questionnaires, scripts, etc.)

2️⃣ Submit via Plataforma Brasil:

https://plataformabrasil.saude.gov.br
(average deadline: 60 days for analysis)

3️⃣ Follow up via the system:

Possible adjustment requests

Final opinion from the CEP

Important deadlines:

Mandatory submission BEFORE the start of data collection

Consequences of non-compliance:
Data collected without approval, they CANNOT be used in research.
